Mystic Dreamer: Art for the Earth

Ann Kruglak – Artist’s Statement 2013

Mystic Dreamer: Art for the Earth
Together we create The World at Peace, the World as One.

Art connects me to my spiritual center, and the greater Mystery of the universe.  I treasure beauty in nature and art and all its forms, as a gift that infuses my life with meaning, joy, wonder and gratitude. I constantly strive to learn and develop more awareness, skill, and grace through art, which is my greatest teacher and inspiration in this life.

I created Mystic Dreamer: Art for the Earth (www.MysticDreamerArt.com), as a service project, to donate 100% of proceeds to the World Land Trust as a way of giving back to the Earth (960 acres saved as of March 2013). My deepest hope is that my art and my ecological focus will educate and inspire others to bring their gifts of service into the world.

I discovered polymer clay in early 2008, and have found it a compelling and amazingly versatile medium.  I have created hundreds of pieces since then, and am just hitting my stride.  My Anemone Teapot won 1st Place for sculpture in the 2008 International Polymer Clay Association competition and my Sacred Flame Teapot won 1st Place for sculpture in the 2012 International Polymer Clay Association competition (proficient category). I continue to enjoy participating in many juried exhibits.

I am eager to discover what new learning and growth this creative path offers me in the future, and what new opportunities for expression and service emerge from it.

Hard to tell, but take our word for it, its a Porcupine... He's an older one, his needles are blond looking and he has a strange walk. Taken at 6am in the morning - hence the bad picture and through a screen.

Iowa Mom: Parrot Bluetooth Car Kit

Iowa Mom: Parrot Bluetooth Car Kit: Anyone concerned about the importance of safe driving understands the dangers of talking on a cell phone in the car. For drivers, speaking o...

Just plop and Wifi

My wife works harder then most people think. Between sewing fulltime, she has to also maintain the store and do all the shipping and networking. The facebook, pinterest, twittering takes up a lot of her time, but she has to do it otherwise we would starve. We have hired some young folks to take up the slack but then they lose their motivation and move on. The bigger companies want an arm and a leg and you might as well  throw your first born into the mix. So it lays on her and when the signal is bad or we've used up our broadband, she becomes a scared little rabbit. She carries the mother load of our success on her shoulders. I luck out, because I just sew.

Well, when there is a chance to use free wifi, she is all over it, and uses up every free minute pushing for sales (again, no sales no food). I have so much respect for her, because as hard as it is, she looks just darn cute doing it.

She is not shy about plopping down anywhere, she has to be spoken to twice, because her nose is glued to the screen in hopes and fingers flying. My blogging is something I do a lone but here is a fun fact. She types it our for me, because well she's a flying fast typist and it was take me 2hours to get it done. So the spelling and grammer are mine folks.

LOL, and to really work extra hard, she wears that purse like armor, in hopes of someone jotting down the business web page. Always thinking that one (Me, Evielynne comment: and two steps ahead of you darling - shhhh he doesn't know that I added this in). So if you have a free minute and would like to help us out. twitter/facebook/pinterest our store, it truly helps.

Power Washing RA style

Our summer location is a on a dirt road, and boy it can get dusty. So when they oil the roads, it makes things easier but also harder. On one of our visits to get water, the gentlemen who owns (and operates security for our mountains) offered me to use his power sprayer. Easy enough - nope not if you have RA like I do. This was a painful chore which slapped me in the face because less then a couple of days, the car looked dirty again. However, entertaining for the wife to take some photos. All from the cell phone too. I do thank you Bill for the use of your power washer.

Strange Noises in the Night

I am a complete ZOMBIE today. Tired is the game both my wife and I are playing today. Last night  at about 8:30pm while we were watching the Centennial (my wife's new favorite movie) movie, we started hearing chewing noises. Looked at the cat and he was fast asleep. Oh course, my wife states "dang it, it's another mouse". Then about 1/2 later we hear coyotes, and then about a half hour later after that, we hear the strangest noise of all. A weird squeal of some sort. Sort of sounded like a moose. Well, this went on for about 45 minutes and I just couldn't take it anymore. I braved the wilderness and headed out barefoot to seek the sounds. It turned out to be porcupines (2 laying right near the RV). They must of been married because from what I gathered, the noise was a verbal fight while they were laying down. Strange but it was also beautiful).
What kept us awake is the dang mouse. Finally about 3:30am the cat went to work and took care of the problem ----> The MOUSE. Just in time for the 5:30am alarm. And there you have 2 successful zombies.

Memorial Day Prayer

As we give thanks to ALL those who serve, as we take a moment of silence, I wish to thank my family and my wife's family memebers who serve and still serve this great nation. May we know true peace and may we make those who serve proud by love all that this life has to provide for us.

Dear Heavenly Father,
As we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day, we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please hold our servicemen and women in your strong arms. Cover them with your sheltering grace and your presence as they stand in the gap for our protection.  We also remember the families of our troops. We ask for your unique blessings to fill their homes, and we pray your peace, provision, and strength will fill their lives.May the members of our armed forces be supplied with courage to face each day and may they trust in the Lord's mighty power to accomplish each task. Let our military brothers and sisters feel our love and support.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Coeur d'Alene city by Lake Fun

It was a beautiful day. We didn't have much money but made the most of it for sure.
                                                           http://coeurdalene.org/

We did chat with the greeter but her attention span was about the next person coming in. Friendly but very robot like. The gentleman you see ROCKS - he is a business owner who has a banquet room. Sorry I don't remember the name of his business, I sure wish we did, because he was so friendly.

Main street a lot of bars, but a lot of friendly folks down here from all over the world I may add.

My wife will read any plaque there is. And I am glad she is like this because well??

This artist and I share the same last name - and one better, my newphew name! Which by the way is an awesome kid (love you Jason - GO HEAT).

Our hearty congrats to the real Jason Sanchez - awesome work and we hope this sells for you!!

Purple Cow Art Angie Adkins

We are so honored to have a number of etsy store owners as friends. And this one is a dear one to us. My wife meet her some time ago from an etsy group they belong together and from there, well what can I say: They are women and amazing ones at that.

Purple Cow Art

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.

Well a little about me. I live in York, PA with my significant other and an assortment of furry and scaly pets. I have always had a passion for painting and crafty sort of things.

People were always asking me to make this, or make that for them, so finally I decided to try to make this a business to bring in a little extra income.

I work full time in the science industry, but I still love making time to do what I love, which is making unique items for other people to enjoy!

Please, feel free to stop by my shop and browse the items that I have for sale. I will be listing more as I build up my inventory and pull out some of my past products.

Please come visit me on facebook! The page name is Purple Cow Art Designs - USA.

Casino in a Gas Station?

This is where we get our battery charged. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO we do not gamble. It's not right and it's not for us. It's just funny to see these next to the car batteries (which by the way go for $90 to $120 each). They charge us $5.00 for each charge and this has helped us out big time when the ginny wants to do anything but its job. We just can't afford the $800-$2000 ginny that we should have.

It's laundry day, and the closest one to us is 29 miles aways (that we just found) before that it was 32 miles - makes you sick to think that. Well, this place is cool in it's own way - super service from the dry cleaner end (the cute red head filled us with some funny stories about her job and we loved hearing them, and we can't thank her enough for chatting with us).

But check out their art work - UNIQUE for sure..... Oh and they have FREE wifi too WINNER!!

Small Town Post Offices are the BEST

Post Office visits for us can be a dream or a nightmare. We've noticed the small towns have more umpff (my wife's word). They really are much friendly to go to and we are honored to know some awesome workers from the Spirit Lake, Worley and Rufus and  June Lake are our top 4 pick for best service. Rathdrum falls last on our list. Customer Service gets you far in life (hint). But we love to visit post office all over the USA and have seen a number of them - since after all we do own a on-line business. I love this little one in Plummer art work.

I just wish to thank Spirit Lake, Worley and Rufus and June Lake for being GREAT. And for the wonderful service they provide - I know at times it's not easy, but all the same a big THANK You

Phase 10 Card Game

It's the start of some much needed summer fun. Now, it's sad that I may only win a game or two a year (and that's not a joke), but when our dog can kick my fanny, thats truly sad.

Phase 10 is one our favorite games to play. Phase 10 is a highly addictive card game thats easy to play. Shuffle the deck and deal ten cards to each player - this is something I can't do because of my RA and at times when I am in a lot of pain, holding the cards can be a challenge. But on this day, my pain level was an 8 so I did indeed get my fanny whipped. Get your cards out and have some fun. It's cheap and easy and a lot of fun!!

Pollo a La Crema Recipe done RV Style

Amanda, I know your scared about this review. But if I could adopt you, you would be my daughter of choice. Amazing young gal you are. Hard working, friendly, super service, and a very good head on your shoulder. We admire you GREATLY. Now about the food.

Hidden in between streets but we wanted a family style dining. With all the bars on main street full, we found this one by luck.

Greeted quick by a super sweet young lady by the name of Amanda.

I am so sorry, I couldn't remember the name of this dish, but it was the special - kind of like a mexican sloppy joe that was GREAT.

Diving our dish (my wife does not eat rice, pasta, breads - so we traded a bit. Her rice for my refried beans.

Evielynne's dish, Pollo a La Crema, which by the way she makes at home and it's supreme, here is her way of cooking it:

~some olive oil
~4 to 5 cups of white chicken chunks cut up in cubes
~1 red onion
~2 to 3 cups of mushrooms (we do extra mushrooms big time)
~chicken base and each time it's a little different amount but go with 2 TBS
~cup of heavy cream
~shhhhhh 3/4 cup of sour cream
~1/2 block of cream cheese
~garlic
~paprika

  1. Heat oil in large frying pan. Saute chicken and onion/garlic until chicken is no longer pink & onions are translucent.
  2. Add cream, cream cheese, mushrooms, paprika & chicken base.
  3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Mixture will be somewhat thin, but should be a creamy texture like the consistency of a white sauce.
there you go!
Evielynne way of cooking Pollo a La Crema

Our Bill plus a $10.00 tip and a promise we WILL BE BACK!!

the food was GREAT, the service even better. Location hidden but that's not a bad thing..

Romans 1:29B-32

One of the things, we fall into when we find ourselves amoung the WRONG kind of friends is this:

In the book of Romans, Paul reveals the sinful nature and lawlessness of mankind, stating how God poured out His wrath on those who rejected His laws. Because they had turned away from God's instruction and guidance, He gave them over to their sinful natures. The list of sins includes gossips and slanderers (Romans 1:29b-32). We see from this passage how serious the sin of gossip is and that it characterizes those who are under God’s wrath.

Another group who were (and still are today) known for indulging in gossip is widows. Paul cautions widows against entertaining the habit of gossip and of being idle. These women are described as “gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to” (1 Timothy 5:12-13). Because women tend to spend a lot of time in each other's homes and work closely with other women, they hear and observe situations which can become distorted, especially when repeated over and over. Paul states that widows get into the habit of going from home to home, looking for something to occupy their idleness. Idle hands are the devil's workshop, and God cautions against allowing idleness to enter our lives. “A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man [or woman] who talks too much” (Proverbs 20:19).

We ask for prayer to walk away from such. We have ended many friendships because of this, and then often get accused of thinking we are better. Well, in a sense we are TRYING to be better and for that we are sorry that their feeling are hurt. But we will not mess with God and want to be better people. So if it's something you wish not to have repeated or if the info hurts someone - then just don't share it. Life is so short, why waste it in such fashion. We hope our followers will pray for us as we pray for you. Live by examples for others to end their own sins. God Bless

Valentino's Take N Bake in CDA

Hot, Hot, Hot ------> 83 and to us that is HOT. My in laws sent some fun money, to keep us blogging. They are the funniest people ever. But thank you for the wonderful treat today, we really needed it.

Valentino's super CLEAN/CUTE/And so far the BEST service yet in CDA.
http://valstakenbake.com/

We first had an education as to why not to eat soft serve. And that hard ice cream is much better for you. Then we chatted about the weather, and living in Idaho and such -----> LOVE the little gal that works there, however she is very tall. We'll be going back there just to visit.

https://www.facebook.com/Valspizzacda

We both got the huckleberry and dang - dang - dang, it was good. Not super sweet and still tasty. It blew the one out of the park from earlier in the day. Don't worry we walked 7 miles today, so it's safe to say, I AM NOT GOING TO GET FAT. My wife being a type one never cheats except maybe once a month and so this was her chance.

We just wanted to say thanks to the crew there, and taking the time to getting to know us and just being super cool. It wasn't about just our money but they were more about the customer service and they got that down better then most. MountainManGeorgeReviews gives them a big mounty A+. And I wanted to thank my in laws for sending paypal to us for fun today.

Paul Bunyan Yums

Paul Bunyan in Hayden was on my "Have to go to List". When you think of Paul Bunyan you think HUGE. Just the iceT I am afraid.

The burger at hand is a double bacon burger. Very good, I must confess. However did not fill me. The price was beyond doable...

Me:
Double Bacon Burger $2.12
Small Huckleberry Shake $3.29

Evielynne:
Bacon cheese burger (she did not eat the bread) $1.99
IceT $1.89

Total $9.85 and we are VERY happy with the total cost. Nice place if your on a tight budget - however did not find the little girl behind the counter overly nice by far. Bad day perhaps, but I am still a customer no matter what.

Over all a fun visit!! Can't wait to check out a new hot spot for lunch...

Dream a New Dream Blog

Is it time to dream a new dream? This past year has been a tough one for a lot of Americans. Houses under water, millions out of work – and those still fortunate to have jobs are now doing the workload of three or four employees. You’ve got a mortgage, car payments, taxes and credit card debt up the wazoo! Is this working for you? Maybe it’s time to dream a new dream? A dream of freedom, a dream of free time, of quality time spent with the ones you love. A dream of adventure, discovery, exploration. Can you imagine a location independent lifestyle? The opportunity to go where you want, when you want? Sounds too good to be true I know, but right now there are thousands of families on the highways and byways living as full time rvers. Yes, families! With kids! Lots of kids! Little kids, big kids, medium kids! These families are not beholden to school schedules and don’t spend a minute in rush hour traffic. They aren’t counting the days to retirement and they definitely don’t feel like they’re missing their kid’s childhood. They are no different then your family, with the exception of one thing – they dreamed a new dream for their family and made it come true. Kimberly Travaglino has written a book to help you do the same. “How to Hit the Road” is a highly actionable step-by-step guide to getting your life off hold and on the road. All the tools you need to make full time travel a reality for your family are expertly organized and detailed. Each chapter is busting with the action items, true stories, and insider information that can save you thousands of dollars and months of valuable time. This Christmas, give your family the gift of a new dream and get the one book that can show you how to make it a reality. This Christmas, learn “How to Hit the Road” ! P.S. If you use one of these links to buy it, I get a percentage of the sale.
