Toe VS Diabeties Type 1

This is healed but won't ever look the same. My wife almost lost he 2 tiny toes. One day it just they just turned purple. And so the nightmare began. They had tripled in size and was blocked, then a bubble appeared and then to really make the danger more possible for the toes to be amp off, Milita our dog, jumped on her foot and tore it to shreds. So it was 2 emergency trips and now THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in debt over it. Change of insulin and major care for the toes, and we now have saved toes. The red nail polish was a gift for my wife for following doctor order to the tilt. Red is NOT her color, but she was thrilled at the gift. A lot of minor skin grafts and lots of cutting, but we are shocked and BLESSED to come out looking good.

Depression, was something we had to watch out for. When your as active as my wife and then your told, you can't do certain things anymore, depression can hit pretty hard. Also with high sugar and low sugar, mood swings are almost always jumping back and forth. These are the times, I pay the most attention, because this is how we know if her number is in death zone.

With our new way of eating and such, I've noticed the depression has gone away and that the mood swings are easy to figure out too. There is NO cure for type 1 and so our funds keep her on health insurance full time, we can't afford to mess with that, but even so, dang its a very expensive. Kind of why we started our store for a second income. No matters, we are blessed with happy toes again.

RV Cooking TIP about Eggs

My favorite thing in the world is FOOD.... My wife love PINTEREST and she found this tip on there, and I had to try it out. Baking eggs?? What?? Are you for REAL??

Water is a huge issue for boondockers. You count every gallon like you count your kids, and this is a tip that will help save your water a little longer....
Cook for about 25 minutes and they come out PERFECT... Quicker to peel and no waste on water. Egg salad is on of my favorite things (done my wife's way) -----> be on the look out for her recipe.

Citylink Bus Ride

My wife, who is ALWAYs looking for ways to save us money, has hit the jackpot this week. She's done some research and made some calls. And we calculated, that we'll save over $120 a week compared to last years daily driving back and forth to the post office and the in between shopping for fabric supplies and by all means "FOOD".

First of all, your car costs a lot more than you think. Gas is just the start. You also have maintenance, tires, insurance, license, registration, taxes, depreciation, and finance charges (if you have a car loan). According to AAA’s estimates on driving costs, if you drive a medium sedan 10,000 miles per year, the cost per mile figuring in all of those factors is 70.2 cents per mile. Now keep in mind our car is a 40 gallon and with the cost of gas at $3.36 (the closest gas station to us) and to the city is approx 25 miles (yep, I kid you not). Our car goes 12-15 miles per gallon.

My wife found this site: http://www.hernandobus.com/calc.htm and we would be

You saved
$

Riding THE Bus ........ Can you believe that?? 1 year savings......

It was real easy of sorts for us. We drove to the gas station and parked our car in the designated area for folks like us, we then called the bus (most area's don't have to call, but since we are in the BOONDOCKS, we are required to call or they won't stop to fetch us)... We made our call this morning and sat in some very comfy seats and took in the views as we headed to town.

THE KICKER of THIS is????

FREE.... FREE.... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE... FREE!

So help save the planet by dumping your car keys for a bus, ... Ride your bike to subway or rail stations rather than driving. ... My wife counting the folks on the bus and whispered to me, do you realized that this bus took, 28 crazy people off the road?? I had to so laugh, it's one way to look at I guess. But, really if your wanting to cut down on some of your travel cost, this is the way to go!!

The bus drivers, have been most helpful and so where the folks riding it, they seemed to love to help outsiders find their way around and we couldn't thank them more. People seem to fear the bus system, thinking they are dirty and the people are weird. Not true at all, we seen business folks, students and well if you think we are strange then yes, some (and I state SOME) strange people. It took the stress of us 100% because now we can enjoy the ride and no we can count on the transportation.

www.idahocitylink.com -------> WOW WOW WOW.... You do amazing things for your state!! Pride and wanting to help people. A job done well, a big thank you!!

QSI Mica Gate in Worley Idaho

Home at last. Well, more like we've been here for a week. I've been working a lot getting things organized for a an easy summer for a change. My wife, has quit her job to team up with me full time and it's been an eye opener for the both of us. We survived the winter only to be slammed in the face for spring. But with good karma on our side, it's anything but a slam but a BLESSING. For the first time in 3 years we'll catch our breaths and even have time to smell the roses. However hard work is still in store for us to "REBUILD" --------> my summer word. Rebuild my faith, rebuild my relationships, rebuild my savings, rebuild my strength.
I am lucky, I don't have to do this alone. I have God, I have my wife, I have my friends, and I have my family. So there is no alone in this REBUILDING.
Quality Service, Inc is my summer family and I can't thank them enough for the 3rd year with a different office view.

About S. R. Bricka ~ Oil Paintings ~ Creations on canvas

S. R. Bricka’s work in oil painting began in the autumn of 2003. Having no teacher to guide her and without the aid of instructive books, she taught herself by simply picking up a brush and taking it to a canvas. Her talent was quickly noticed by those around her including the owner of a local art supply shop and gallery.

Wishing to sell some of S. R. Bricka’s works, the shop owner took one of the, then, young artist’s paintings and displayed it in her gallery as for sell. The shop owner received a request from a man to buy the work, but despite her pushing she could not convince the artist to sell her work. When S. R. Bricka returned to the shop to take her work home, the shop owner told her that she would lose her talent unless she sold her work.

Bothered by this comment, the young artist turned to her God who had always been there for her. She knew that He had given her this talent. But selling the work for money did not feel right. She was at a loss as to what to do with the oil paintings that God had allowed her to make, and which had brought so much joy into her own life. She prayed and gave her creations on canvas to God. She would never sell the originals.

Since then S. R. Bricka has prayed to ask permission to sell prints of the work. It is not her desire to become famous through her works but rather to allow God’s glory to shine through her and her works.

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Revelation 4:11, KJV

Note from MountainManGeorgeReviews:
I come closer and closer to my Father in Heaven, it's become clearer then ever to be in more contact with others who seek the same. In my world, I can only name a hand full of folks who freely share their love for our creator. And this is why, I am so honored to have this wonderful blog article on my blog, it's one I truly cherish!!

Isaiah 55:6-7

Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Snow in April Don't Jive with Me

I was thinking this morning, just before getting up "how nice it would be to be in a pair of shorts" then me feet hit the floor, and then thinking, for PETE'S SAKES" it's April already. Then I head to the kitchen to start the coffee for my beautiful wife. Then I take my first peak out the window. NOOOOOOOOO.....
However the photo was taken about 3 hours later from our car. And most of it had already melted, making for a messy walk for the dogs and a target for me to fall flat on my butt.
ADVENTURES ------> is what my wife keeps telling me today.

I sure hope yours are as good as mine - I wouldn't have it any other way. God granted us this weather and it's weather I do indeed cherish!!

Pot Pie Homemade by Mountain Man George Reviews

I love cooking these days. When my wife went healthy, I decided to support her by learning to cook right. And I have. On the days she goes 100% all veggie. I go MOUNTAIN MAN style that day. And here is my homemade better then the store pot pie.

Drain the most of the juice - this was left over curry pork. It was yummy.
Then I made a batch of dough - using fresh herbs in the batter. Cut up a small potato and some garlic - I also used some shredded carrots too.

Place the dough on top - sprinkle a little cheese on top and bake for about 25 minutes. This is a mini bread pan - so it equals one serving for Mountain Man George.
THIS IS NOT HEALTHY and this is why, I have this only once a week. Don't fret, I walked it off with a good hike.

If you have a meal idea - do drop us a comment. Or if you would like to be a Guest Spot cooker - email me for more details. And if you are a company in need of product review/tester - please email me at MountainManGeorgeReviews@gmail.com

"Cooking is my new passion"

As I was chatting with Ken, who is from Rustburg, VA, it turns out he's a workaholic that is also expanded to making Monster Inspired Furniture.

Inspired by his daughters. Cool Dad. Father of 2 son's myself, I pray daily for a granddaughters to share my barbie clothes making. I get the whole love thing, which again brings me to higher level of respect to Ken.

Ken Says:
I have been a woodworker for thirty years. I started in my Industrial Arts classes and took that to heart; I try to make useful pieces of art. My shop contains everything from quilt racks to wine accessories, platters and bowls to baking and cooking accessories to Christmas ornaments.

Here is a little more info about Ken

About

I have been a woodworker for the past thirty years and collecting machines and materials over that time. I live in Rustburg, VA. and teach Engineering, Architecture, Basic Technical Drawing, Advanced Technical Drawing and Woodworking at the local High School. After a day of helping others learn new things, I try to do the same through my craft. I can make most anything but prefer turning. Traditional woodworking requires everything to be square flat etc.. Lathe work allows you to "feel" the wood as you work it into its final shape. I never start with a plan when turning a piece; I let it guide me as I go. Once a piece has been made, I sand it to be silky smooth, because your finish is only as good as your sand job. Every piece is unique and special to me. I'm always surprised when I see what is within each piece of wood. Every piece I make, started with me cutting a downed log, or found chunk. I then will mill it into the size I...

MountianManGeorgeReviews would like to personaly thank Ken for his time, telling  me all about his passion that's spread out pretty far into his life. I've enjoy researching his product lines of both of his stores. And this truly is a wonderful craftsman who has talents, I can only dream about.

Cajun Chicken with Pineapples

Cajun Chicken with Pineapple. Simple

Chicken (of course boneless and skinless), Cajun spices, just for kicks, I added some curry, and pineapples and baked. Simple but dang, it tasted GREAT - no pasta, no rice, just a side dish of rosemary aspargus and we had a healthy meal as we do every night!!

RV JAIL

April 1st, a beautiful day that turned into one heck of a strange and EXPENSIVE afternoon. Not a cloud in the sky, coffee in the system, and taking our sweet time, getting on the road.  And when we do finaly reach 15 miles from Spirit Lake, my wife says "did you hear that"? No, I say - knowing this is ALWAYS a common question coming from her on every trip. 5 miles later, hitting a hill, I notice the sound myself and feel the different in the pull of the car. By the second hill, I am pushing harder on the gas, and just barely made it up the hill (and it was not a large one at). Awe, a flat road and that when we hear BAM. And then my wife SCREAMED. And then we found ourselves on the side of the road. Prayers in action, thanking GOD for keeping us alive. My wife then screams, "Get out and make sure the car is not on fire." I walk around the entire RV and car and see NO smoke or damages, a good sign, I am thinking. My wife who is faster then lightning, was already on the ground taking photo's of what caused the BAM.

Today's blog is just about the BAM, we'll talk about all the help and support about this day on another blog article. But our vacation which was the drive to Utah, just became about working 10 hours a day again SEWING. My wife, who is up at 4am in the morning and works all day, not that I don't, I just don't have the strength or the energy she has. So we ask our viewers to add us to their prayers. And perhaps a comment to put some smiles back on our faces. It's been a long 5 days without our car, and to boot it's been rainy yucky weather.

I will share a funny story about our 1st day RVing. Back in 2009 in March, we left Miami Florida. And true to adventure, we broke down. Thankfully, it was just a bunch of belts that broke, but boy did my wife cry. I kid you not. Begging between gulps on that pretty face of hers "I don't want to go back to Miami", it took me a long time to convince her, we were not going back. We'll it was my turn to break down, while my wife was the calm one. A perfect marriage, we so balance each other.

When the bill is paid, and we have our car back, we will share the intimate details of what in the world happen. There are folks to thank and changes to share - so be patient and see what is in store for us now.

Please support our store - it's our source of income, but better then that, there are a ton of items just perfect for you today - and we do custom orders if you don't see what your looking for. Honest work for honest pay. Even willing to work overtime!!
